Facilitated by myself, Andrea Aylward, an experienced and qualified therapist and tutor, I will guide you through the workshop with support and encouragement.
The price of the workshop includes materials, and a Continuous Professional Development certificate is given on completion to attendees.

Dream therapy is an opportunity to explore a client’s inner world through the images and narrative of dreams.
Gain understanding of dreams, nightmares, waking/day dreams, and sleepwalking.
Attendees will have the opportunity to compare various theoretical approaches to exploring dreams, and then offered time to practice applying the skills for use in the therapy room.
You will be guided through the process, encouraged, and supported, as you engage in powerful and productive approaches, that will strongly support the therapeutic client relationship.

The Solution-Focussed Therapy approach is goal-directed, and focuses on solutions to the problems that brought clients to seek therapy.
Attendees will have the opportunity to gain understanding of the theory to this approach and learn techniques for applying, and integrating, these valuable skills into your current way of supporting clients.
This approach is extremely beneficial to short term and time limited client contracts.

The Grief, Loss & Bereavement workshop compares and contrasts a variety of theoretical understandings, whilst exploring effective approaches and considerations when supporting clients.
Grief, loss and bereavement affects us all at various times in our lives, and the impact on us can be profoundly felt.
The workshop explores various theories behind grief and loss; what causes us to be affected differently; the different kinds of losses; how different cultures deal with loss; how to support ourselves and others with loss; how and when we move on from loss.
You will be guided through the theory, encouraged, and supported as you engage in practical skills that will strongly support the therapeutic client relationship.

This workshop is for practitioners, and trainees, who wish to develop their knowledge and awareness of substance misuse. The knowledge gained will offer useful information and practical approaches in a variety of therapeutic settings.

​ * This workshop follows the Drug and Alcohol National Occupational Standards (DANOS) guidelines.
​
The workshop explores the effects of a range of substances, the harm caused, related behaviours, reasons for addiction, including an awareness of the practitioner's own responses. There will also be a focus on the damage to relationships and support for therapeutic recovery.
You will be guided through the theory, encouraged, and supported as you engage in practical skills that will strongly support the therapeutic client relationship.

Explore, and absorb, essential skills for anyone who is in, or training to be in, a caring and wellbeing role. This workshop will promote self-care, which in turn, improves the ability to care for others.

Explore how to become proactive in your approach to personal safety, in a variety of settings.
Utilising a solution focussed approach, this workshop will offer the opportunity to reflect on your feelings, and your own physical awareness that can prevent you from becoming a victim.
Discussions, and information, will be supported by activities that explore psychological, physical, and practical understanding and approaches to personal safety.
